A civil marriage can take location in a registration workplace , or at any place agreed amongst the registration authority and the couple, and can only be solemnised by a Registrar. The signing of the declaration can be done at a different location pre arranged with the Registrar eg. Backhouse Hall, the Register Office Marriage Room, an approved venue (for instance, a hotel or an approved religious developing). If you are Welsh speaking and would like your ceremony conducted in the Welsh language please talk about this with the superintendent registrar when you telephone to book an appointment.
