Witness At Wedding
As a witness to the wedding, you only sign stating that the ceremony took location and it was completed legally just before your eyes. A minister from a church in a different state can perform a wedding ceremony in Washington State and is not essential to register with the State in order to do so. The role of the witness or witnesses is to ‘give faith’ that none of the people who are going to marry are there below coercion or against their will.
